Inform over Influence. I will share my personal experiences with you as a way of informing you of what it is like being a black woman, being a black professional, etc. It is used to inform you of something that you do not know.
Influencing your decisions is telling you all of the things that you need to do based on my experiences. That's not the same thing. Any consultant that you speak with that is influencing or attempting to influence your decisions versus informing you is someone you need to say goodbye to and quickly.
